Lisa Homer, PhD, RN, CCRN, CNE

Nursing Education Consultant

Lisa Homer, PhD, RN, CCRN, CNE, is a Nursing Education Consultant with ATI Nursing. She has been a registered nurse for more than 22 years with 14 years of post-secondary nursing education experience. That experience includes associate, baccalaureate, graduate, and doctoral education. Her nursing practice experience is in critical-care areas, including trauma, post-anesthesia care, cardiothoracic surgery, and neonatal intensive care. Dr. Homer was graduated from the University of Evansville (Evansville, Ind.) with a baccalaureate degree in nursing. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from Indiana University (Indianapolis), and a PhD in nursing from Villanova University (Philadelphia).

Prior to joining ATI, Dr. Homer served in various faculty and administrative roles, with her last position as Director of Assessment and Evaluation. Her areas of expertise include program assessment and evaluation, accreditation, curriculum development/revision, and continuous programmatic quality improvement. Dr. Homer’s research interests include the context of the care environment and nursing-sensitive patient outcomes.

Dr. Homer is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is a Certified Nurse Educator.
