ATI Proctoring Service Pilot

Description

ATI is test piloting a new service to assist its clients with scheduling and proctoring of ATI assessments that are administered remotely through ATI Remote Proctoring Services. This new service referred to as “ATI Proctoring Service”, is delivered in pilot, test phase by ATI and each institution participating in the pilot acknowledges that these services are still being developed and refined by ATI during the pilot, may contain errors, and are provided as-is without warranty of any kind.

The ATI Proctoring Service pilot includes scheduling of ATI assessments administered through use of ATI Remote Proctoring Services, registration of test sessions, production of a student roster for each scheduled assessment, remote presence during the assessment administration, monitoring the proctor page for alerts, and troubleshoot with student tester. Further details are below.

ATI Proctoring Services and this pilot are provided to each participating client solely in connection with such client’s use of ATI Remote Proctoring Services purchased separately by client. If a participating client terminates its use of ATI Remote Proctoring Services, participation in this ATI Proctoring Services pilot shall immediately terminate.

Please note that the ATI Proctoring Service and this pilot do not include the cost of any ATI assessment that is being administered or the cost of the ATI Remote Proctoring Services, each of which must be separately purchased by each client.

Terms

Each client’s use of ATI Proctoring Services is subject to these terms as well as the terms in the ATI Order Form and ATI Remote Proctoring Services Terms which were previously agreed to by each participating client. In the event of any conflict among the different sets of terms, the terms set forth herein will control with respect to ATI Proctoring Services.

Feedback

ATI will be asking for input from you and your students regarding your experiences with the ATI Proctoring Service. Your input is critical to ATI and we are most appreciative of your willingness to assist.  As we are still in the initial testing stages, the confidentiality of ATI’s information is very important. Accordingly, you agree to keep confidential and not disclose to others any information that you receive through this pilot study.
Registration

ATI will post all available test sessions for the duration of the pilot (April-July 2021). Sessions will be held Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. CST. Available sessions will continue to be posted three months in advance. No sessions will occur on Sundays or ATI holidays. Scheduling of test sessions is subject to availability.

ATI clients participating in the pilot will use Calendly to view available dates/times for assessment sessions and reserve their time slot. Clients will need to register seven days prior to the exam. ATI clients should navigate to the Calendly URL to select a date and time for the proctored assessment: https://calendly.com/atiproctor/ati-proctoring.

ATI will respond to faculty following Calendly registration, confirming receipt and with instructions for submitting required materials: assessment batch ID, roster, and student time accommodations.

Intake materials will be submitted to clients by ATI via a secure FTP site. Each school will be set up with an account on the SFTP prior to start of pilot. Schools will be assigned a unique URL, username, and password. The SFTP site can be accessed via: https://ftp.atitesting.com/ThinClient

Clients are required to provide the following information at least five days prior to each scheduled session.

Clients will add the following information to an Excel template that ATI will have uploaded into the client’s folder on the SFTP site:

  • Assessment batch ID
  • Student roster from ATI account
    • Names provided must be exact spellings that match student’s ATI account.
    • Any student time accommodation, as directed by the school.

Only students on the submitted roster will be approved by ATI to take the assessment.

ATI will send a final email to the client faculty contact 24-hours prior to the scheduled assessment session. This email will include confirmation that all intake materials have been received, and ATI validation has been completed.

Client Responsibilities Prior to the Assessment Session (Faculty Tasks)

Clients are responsible for completing the following:

Enable the assessment and Proctorio in the ATI faculty portal.
Client will:

  • Log in to the ATI faculty portal > Product > Assessments. Select the appropriate assessment and enable. Verify the Proctorio checkbox is selected.

Communicate test date/time and details to students
Client will:

  • Ensure students have the test loaded into their ATI account (this may have already been added at the beginning of the semester using the CDN). The individual test ID can be added using the ‘Add Product’ button.
  • Ensure students know the date and time of the assessment.
  • Share that ATI proctors will be proctoring the assessment session.
  • Ensure students understand that, if students have not started the assessment within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, they will not be approved to take the assessment.
  • Ensure students understand that it is recommended that all students complete the remote proctoring dry run (located in their ATI student account) before their first remotely proctored ATI assessment.
  • Ensure students understand that, if students have questions on the day of the assessment, they can call ATI at 844-956-2790.

Day of the Assessment

The ATI proctor will log in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled assessment session start time. Students will be allowed into the session until 10 minutes past the scheduled start time. After 10 minutes past the scheduled start time, no student will be allowed to enter the session.

Login process:

  • Student logs into the ATI student portal and selects the assessment from the Test tab. If needed, they can access the remote proctoring resources in their student portal under the ‘Support’ icon.
  • The automated remote proctoring pre-check process is initiated within the system.
  • Following successful completion of remote proctoring pre-checks, the ATI proctor receives a notification to approve the test taker.
  • ATI Proctor confirms the test taker name on the roster and approves tester.
  • Tester beings the exam.
  • During the assessment session, the ATI Proctor will monitor the proctor page for alerts of suspicious activity throughout exam.
  • During the assessment session, the ATI Proctor will respond to calls and emails from testers and troubleshoot any technical issues with testers.
  • Tester completes exam.
  • Session concludes when all testers have finished. (Faculty will not receive communication at the conclusion of the testing session.)
  • Faculty may generate reports from the assessment. Students may use Focused Review for remediation, if applicable to the assessment and enabled by the instructor.

Review

Please note that all ATI test security reviews of the test session, and any reporting of test anomalies, are conducted separately through ATI Remote Proctoring Services and are not part of this service.
