TEAS Cut Score Analysis - Now Available to ATI TEAS Users
The first-of-its-kind tool compares the performance of current TEAS cut score to potential new cut scores, allowing nursing schools to assess their admissions criteria.
Using a contrasting groups method, the TEAS Cut Score Analysis Tool will allow users to complete a cut score analysis using a nursing school’s ’s previous TEAS data and an early program measure of success, such as the ATI proctored Fundamentals assessment.
A cut score is a benchmark that indicates a level of performance a student applicant must achieve on the TEAS and is set by each individual school as one of multiple admission criteria. Users can use this tool to evaluate their current admissions standards based on their own school data and admission goals. The TEAS Cut Score Analysis Tool aids the school in determining a cut score or helps the school compare their current cut score to other possible cut scores.
A sample size of 100 participants who took both the TEAS and the early program measure is needed to complete the analysis. A version of this tool will be released to programs who are not using an early program measure such as, ATI’s proctored Fundamentals assessment in early fall 2015.
