TEAS Quick Tips
- The TEAS exam will be administered online by your school or your school’s testing center. The school will supply proctors (a person who monitors students during an exam) and important test details. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the school that will be administering the TEAS exam.
- A four-function calculator (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) is built into the online TEAS exam.
- You should have received your TEAS Assessment ID by email from your institution. If you have not received this ID by the day prior to your exam, please contact the institution at which you are taking the exam.
- Plan on 4 hours maximum to complete your TEAS exam.
- TEAS exams cannot be rescheduled or reimbursed. If you have an emergency, please contact the institution/testing center that will be administering your exam.
- Download our TEAS Quick Start Guide, including visual step-by-step instructions.

- Close all other windows and documents on your computer.
- Have a government-issued photo ID card available.

ATI offers reporting of TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) results to schools as a convenience to nursing school applicants. However, it is solely your responsibility to ensure that each of your school applications, as well as your TEAS exam results, is complete, properly submitted, and on file with each school.
TEAS Testing Accommodations
Please contact the institution/testing facility to arrange ADA accommodations prior to registering for your TEAS exam.
Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, each testing institution must provide reasonable accommodations to individuals with a documented disability that hinders their ability to take any ATI assessment under standard conditions. It is the responsibility of each administering institution to determine how the disability will be reasonably accommodated in the testing process and for the proctor to ensure that the approved accommodation is in place.
