Description & Objectives:
This session was recorded live at the 2018 ATI National Nurse Educator Summit in Salt Lake City, UT. This session is presented by Pamela R. Jeffries PhD, RN, FAAN, ANEF. 1 CNE will be provided upon completion. Attendees must submit a completed evaluation of the educational activity to receive their CNE certificate. This session will focus on the principles of best practices in education in developing, delivering, and evaluating online courses for nursing education. Strategies to engage students in an online platform in addition to providing different exemplars on the use of different academic technologies will be discussed. Important evaluation methods will be includes that can be used in an online course and/or face-to-face to measure student outcomes and achievement.
