Employers today repeatedly cite teamwork as a core competency in today's workplace, however, very few employees rate their teaming efforts as highly effective.  This presentation features the narrative of a simulation leader and a simulation team's journey to build resilience while working to become a high-performance team.  The presenter will outline the use of strengths-based approaches to fostering resilience on the team through targeted initiatives that aim to build a healthy team climate, cohesiveness, open communication, change compatibility/flexibility, equitable contributions, shared leadership, and shared learning.

Objective:

  • Define the concept of resiliency, and situate it within the context of high-performing teams.
  • List several strategic efforts that teams can employ when working to become a high-performing team.
  • Experience shared narratives of resilience in teams with attendees.
