ATI’s Skills Modules Series
Gaining nursing proficiency… one skill at a time
The concept is simple: Pick a basic nursing skill or skill set – vital signs, for example. Just by navigating with the mouse, you’ll see step-by-step guidelines for each step or procedure, plus “snapshots” of the latest research on the topic, interactive practice challenges to test your critical-thinking abilities, a detailed glossary, an enunciator, and a pretest and a posttest, to name just a few features. It’s a mini-course in the skill – right there on your computer screen any time you need it.
We’re talking about ATI’s dynamic Skills Modules Series – a self-study approach that provides an interactive learning experience. Using rich media applications, you’ll explore content at your own pace as a basis for performing these skills in a clinical situation. Both pretest and posttest knowledge assessments confirm your understanding and provide a seamless passage to the next level of clinical performance. The step-by-step viewing section includes a series of artfully produced video segments delivered by streaming media. And as you complete each module, you’ll receive a certificate of completion to give to your instructor to show that you’ve been “doing your homework”!
Topics include infection control, surgical asepsis, vital signs, physical assessment (adult and pediatric), blood administration, and medication administration.
