ATI’s skills modules
Gaining nursing proficiency... one skill at a time
The concept is simple: Your students select a basic nursing skill or skillset – surgical asepsis, for example. Just by navigating with the mouse, your students will not only see step-by-step guidelines for the procedure, but “snapshots” of the latest research on the topic, interactive practice challenges to test their critical-thinking abilities, a detailed glossary, and a pretest and a posttest, to name just a few features. Sound too good to be true? Far from it. It’s available from ATI to your computer screen as we speak.
Meet ATI’s dynamic new Skills Modules Series – an assessment-driven, self-study approach that synthesizes nursing skills with the evidence to support them, all in one comprehensive learning package. Using rich media applications, students explore content at their own pace as a foundation for performing in a clinical situation. Both pretest and posttest knowledge assessments confirm understanding and provide a seamless passage to the next level of clinical performance. The step-by-step viewing section includes a series of artfully produced video segments delivered by streaming media. And as your students complete each module, they receive a certificate of completion to submit to you.
Topics include infection control, surgical asepsis, vital signs, physical assessment (adult and pediatric), blood administration, and medication administration – and that’s only a glimpse of what’s in store for you and for your students...
Are you struggling with an overwhelming workload? Too little clinical-site time? Ways to accommodate varied learning styles?
