Description & Objectives:

This timely and thought-provoking session explores findings and recommendations from a national study on faculty-to-faculty incivility in nursing education including types and frequency of uncivil faculty behaviors, contributing factors, and most importantly, best practices to address the problem. To foster and sustain healthy workplaces faculty must be well-equipped with a variety of evidence-based strategies to promote faculty-to-faculty collegiality including improving communication skills, successfully negotiating conflict, and cultivating high performing teams, and building positive relationships.
