Stephen Fredette – Chief Executive Officer

Stephen Fredette is chief executive officer (CEO) for ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute), the nation’s leading provider of online testing, remediation and certification in the healthcare and professional licensing industries.

Fredette joined ATI in May 2008. Previously, he served as executive vice president of Kaplan Financial, a national provider of test-preparation and continuing-education materials for securities and insurance professionals. He also was president of Perfect Access Speer – a subsidiary of Kaplan Professional. Before that, he served as president of Electronic Systems Associates, a Syska & Hennessy company, from 1998 to 2001 and as chief operating officer of LANSystems, Inc. from 1991 to 1998.

Fredette received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Siena College in New York.

Jim Krause – Chief Operations Officer

Jim Krause is chief operating officer (COO) for ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute), the nation’s leading provider of online testing and remediation materials for the nursing industry.

In his role, Krause oversees customer services, virtual and distance education, logistics, information technology and human resources.

Krause joined ATI in March 2006 as director of information technology, and was named COO in January 2007. Before joining ATI, he spent 10 years in a variety of technology leadership positions at AMC Entertainment Inc., the latest as chief technology officer from 2003 to 2006.

Krause received a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Ottawa University.

Dan Schoepf – Senior Vice President, Sales

Dan Schoepf is senior vice president of sales for ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute), the nation’s leading provider of online testing and remediation materials for the nursing industry.

Schoepf, who joined ATI in July 2007, oversees a sales and partner support specialist team of 50-plus associates. Before joining ATI, he was senior vice president of LabOne, now part of Quest Diagnostics, the world's leading provider of diagnostic testing, information and services for patients and doctors.

Schoepf received a bachelor’s of science degree from Dakota State University.

Tyson Needham – Vice President, Finance

Tyson Needham is vice president of finance at ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute), the nation’s leading provider of online testing and remediation materials for the nursing industry.

Needham joined ATI in January 2006 as controller. He became director of finance in January 2007 before being named vice president in October 2008.

Before joining ATI, Needham was controller at Favorite Healthcare Staffing. Before that, he was senior auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP from January 1998 to March 2001.

Needham, who received a dual bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Kansas State University, is a certified public accountant.

Dawn Clayton – Vice President, Research and Development

Dawn Clayton is vice president of research and development for ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute), the nation’s leading provider of online testing and remediation materials for the nursing industry.

Clayton joined ATI as a consultant in 2004 and was named executive director of research and development in October 2006. She became vice president in 2009. She currently oversees the areas of psychometrics, nursing curriculum and educational services, product development, educational technology, and product design.

Clayton is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Kansas (KU), a position she’s held since 2006. Before joining ATI, she worked for KU’s Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation and also held a variety of positions during a nine-year stint at Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc.

Clayton received a doctoral degree in educational psychology and research from KU. She also received a master’s degree in educational psychology and research from KU and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and political science from Southwest Baptist University in Missouri.

Jeff Kelley – Director, Psychometrics

Jeff Kelley is director of psychometrics for ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute), the nation’s leading provider of online testing and remediation materials for the nursing industry.

Kelley joined ATI in November 2005. Before that, he spent nine years at Applied Measurement Professionals, first as a research associate and then later as program director.

Kelley received his doctoral degree in educational psychology and research from the University of Kansas. He also received a master’s degree in educational psychology and research, a bachelor’s in history and political science, and a bachelor’s in education from Kansas.
